Surely sending Gmail has nothing to do with your domain at Reg123 and its SPF? At first glance the SPF above implies that your Reg123 mail might be somehow sent via google servers is that possible? I don't understand the inclusion of google in the SPF above. I don't know who had generated your SPF Records. The madasafish reference item seems the best way to indicate your valid outbound emails are sent via PlusNet, the Google reference validates email that are sent via GMail. The SPF that I set quite some time ago is and entered via the Advanced DNS Panel at Reg123: v=spf1 include: include:_ ~all Hence I believe that adding the Google data to the SPF is probably appropriate as I think it can signify that mail from my static IP can legitimately be sent via a Google mail system.Īnother debatable point with PlusNet on static addresses is that I reckon mine (for historic reasons) may be within an address range set aside for dynamic IP use! Not surprisingly any attempt to discuss this issue with PlusNet support, following previous email rejection issues, got me - I have twice indicated that ensuring a correct SPF Record is increasingly important, and that the SPF Record for a PlusNet customer is somewhat strange. I have a static IP and that can be traced back to my registered Domain through the DNS Records. However it does appear that spam handling on some email systems do detect the originating IP that was used to access GMail even through the WebMail. Previously they even have told me that "Email" is not a prime service and their interests really lie in supporting the Internet access service!Īnyway, to the point, as I vaguely understand it - if I send out email via Gmail (Website) then, I agree it will not be from my Domain. In fact, every year many of our customers send gift baskets to our technical support department during the holidays.I must admit to being not entirely sure of all aspects of SPF, and certainly PlusNet have never provided any support. #WEBMAILER PRO HOST EUROPE PROFESSIONAL#All email is backed up with our professional data backup and recovery system whether it is or isn't archived.
